The Burlington Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been committed to serving Alamance and Caswell Counties for over 35 years. Our community-based programs and initiatives are driven by the Sorority's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust which consists of Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
To advance our education priority, the Chapter's General Scholarship Award Committee is pleased to invite all eligible students to apply for our Gladys Outlaw Gallop Scholarship Award. The award's distinguished namesake, Gladys Outlaw Gallop, was a dedicated professional educator who served in Alamance County's public schools for 30 years. She was instrumental in the work of establishing our General Scholarship Award.
To be considered for the Gladys Outlaw Gallop Scholarship, students must:
Each scholarship award recipient will receive a one-time $1,000 academic scholarship. Recipients will be recognized at their school's main awards day ceremony.
